I am a qualified counsellor and psychology student passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges with warmth, empathy, and a person-centred approach. My work is grounded in the belief that every person can grow and heal when given the right environment of support, understanding, and respect. With experience in grief, trauma, and emotional well-being, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
A central focus of my practice is the deep connection between the mind and body. Psychological distress is not just a cognitive or emotional experience—it is also felt physically. Stress, grief, anxiety, and trauma often manifest in bodily sensations, tension, and patterns of physical discomfort. Through an integrative and holistic approach, I work with clients to explore how their mental and emotional states influence their physical well-being and vice versa. By increasing self-awareness and understanding these connections, clients can develop healthier coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and a more profound sense of resilience.
In my work, I draw upon person-centred therapy, which places the individual at the heart of the therapeutic process. Rather than imposing a rigid framework or predetermined solutions, I tailor my approach to each client’s needs, goals, and lived experiences. Person-centred therapy, founded by Carl Rogers, emphasises empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness—all of which are core values in my practice. When clients feel genuinely understood and accepted, they can more readily access their inner resources and move toward meaningful change.
I also incorporate mindfulness-based and somatic approaches, which help clients reconnect with their bodies and develop greater emotional regulation. Practices such as breath awareness, grounding techniques, and gentle body-based interventions can be particularly beneficial for those experiencing anxiety, grief, or trauma-related symptoms. These approaches align with contemporary psychological research, which supports the role of mindfulness and body awareness in reducing stress, improving emotional well-being, and fostering a sense of inner balance.
My professional experience includes working with individuals facing grief and loss, life transitions, stress, and self-esteem challenges. I am passionate about helping people navigate difficult emotions while developing practical strategies to support their well-being. Through reflective conversations, practical coping tools, or exploring deeper emotional patterns, I work collaboratively with clients to support their journey toward greater self-understanding and healing.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, validated, and encouraged to explore their experiences in a way that aligns with their values. I believe that counselling is not about "fixing" a person but rather about providing a space where they can rediscover their strengths, gain new insights, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
If you seek support, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
